How to Make Chin Chin

HOW TO PREPARE: Get a big clean bowl, Mix the flour, Sugar, Nutmeg, Milk or vanilla flavour, salt together. You have to mix this without water. Go ahead and mix about 2 spoons of Baking powder with a little water and then add to the mixture and mix properly, the quantity of water you add to this mixture depends on how hard or soft you want your chin chin to be.

You can go ahead and melt the cooking butter and then add to the mixture, use your hand to properly mix this. Go ahead to add a little bit of water and then knead properly till it becomes a dough. Put a little bit of flour on a desk or table top or wherever you wish to roll your dough, the reason we have to put a little bit of flour is to avoid it sticking on the desk. If you do not have a roller, you can do well to use a bottle. Roll the dough till becomes very flat, use a knife or a cutter to cut into any shape you want your chin chin to be.

In a Large pan add oil enough to deep fry the chin chin and then leave to heat on the fire till its moderately hot ( I do not like to leave it to become very hot because it can burn the chin chin if not careful). Fry the chin chin in bits till it turns golden brown in colour, then you can take it out and put in a sieve to completely drain the oil and leave for about 5 minutes for it to cool down a bit afterwards, becomes stronger. Your chin chin is ready!
