Origin/History Of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)

The origination of the University started in 1987 when Governor Adetunji Olurin, the then Military Governor of Oyo State, reacting to a letter from the Governing Council of the Polytechnic Ibadan set up a seven part interministerial advisory group under the director of Mrs. Oyinkan Ayoola. The Committee presented its report in 1988 and suggested the foundation of a State University.
