Known for their production of supercars and hypercars that are unrivalled almost in every way, these car producing companies have somehow been able to convince the world that they only cater to wealthy clienteles who are just about the few who can enjoy their rarest supercars and hypercars with sleek designs and the world’s most expensive cars.
A fact-finding mission led us to publish this, all thanks to invoice sheets which led us to over 20 cars all worth a staggering $1 million at the very least. Among the cars on the list are a Rolls-Royce and a Ferrari, albeit a hybrid convertible.
Before we proceed, it is important to note these prices are the prices of brand new versions of these unique cars and auction prices or from second-hand sales.

21. Ferrari LaFerrari – $1.4 million
Priced at $1.4 million, the Ferrari LaFerrari is one of the cheapest supercars on this list. The LaFerrari is the first full hybrid produced by Ferrari, providing the highest power output of any Ferrari road car whilst decreasing fuel consumption by 40 per cent. Its production began in 2013 and it is packed with 950 hybrid horses (708 kilowatts), making it capable of reaching a top speed of 220 miles per hour (350 km/h). It is capable of moving from 0-100 km/r in under 3 seconds and 0-200 km/r in just less than 7 seconds. Ferrari only made 499 units of the car between the year debuted and 2016. It remains Ferrari’s fastest and most powerful production to date.
20. Pagani Huayra – $1.4 million
Beauty, they say, is in the eyes of the beholder—but not for the Pagani Huayra. The mid-engine Italian sports car is undoubtedly one of the prettiest supercars on this list. It was named the “The Hypercar of the Year 2012” by Topgear Magazine, an automobile magazine owned by the BBC. Officially debuted in 2011, the Pagani Huayra alongside LaFerrari are the cheapest cars on this list. Pagani, the car’s manufacturer, only made 100 units of the Huayra, in line with the agreement the company had with Mercedes-AMG, the engine’s supplier. The Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-AMG V12 engine, capable of 383 km/h (238 mph) top speed. It is also capable of moving from 0-97 km/h in just less than 2.8 seconds.
19. McLaren Elva – $1.7 million
The McLaren Elva is the fifth addition of the McLaren Ultimate Series and the newest addition, without a doubt. The Elva which debuted in 2020 was originally planned to be limited to 399 units but was however reduced further to 249 units. The Elva is without a windshield but that does not hinder it from producing 804 horsepower and 590 foot pound of torque from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine. The Elva is capable of accelerating from 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 3 seconds and from 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 6.7 seconds. Other than the fact that just 249 units are available on the planet which makes it difficult for just anyone to buy, you shouldn’t dream of this if you don’t have $1.7 million to splurge.
18. Ferrari Monza – $1.7 million
Similarly with the roofless McClaren Elva, the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are limited production sports cars. The Monza debuted in 2018 and it marks the dawn of the “Icona” series, a programme aimed at creating special cars inspired by classic Ferrari models. The SP1 one is, well… a single-seater version while the SP2 can only accommodate you and another person. Both Monzas are powered by the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine which is capable of 809 horsepower. Ferrari claims both Monzas can accelerate from 0–97 km/h (0–60 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, 0–124 mph in just 7.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 299 km/h (186 mph). 17. Bentley Bacalar – $1.9 million
The Bentley Bacalar is unarguably one of the rarest cars on this list, with just 12 units produced. It makes the word “limited” on other limited supercars on this list look like a joke. Despite packing an opulent design that makes the eyes wander in amazement, the Bentley Bacalar comes prepared in performance as with others on this list. Powered by a 6.0-litre W12 turbocharged engine, the Bacalar delivers 650 horsepower and 664 foot pound. With the Balacar, it is not just enough to have $1.9 million to splurge to be able to buy one. All of the units are already in the hands of lucky customers.
16. Pininfarina Battista – $2.5 million
The Pininfarina Battista is sweetly named after Battista Farina, the company’s founder. It debuted in 2019, at the Geneva Motor Show and is one of the very few on the list that is 100% electric—boasting of 1,827 horsepower. While the idea of regular supercars’ 0-60 sounds incredible, the company claims Pininfarina Battista will get it done in less than 2 seconds. 14. Aston Martin Victor – $3 million
Aston Martins clinches this spot with its Aston Martin Victor—the most exclusive brand of the British car manufacturer to date. The Aston Martin Victor is said to use parts from a couple of Astons, including from the Valkyrie which is upcoming, the Vulcan and the One-77. The Victor is powered by a naturally aspirated V-12 with an 836 horsepower. 2020 debuted Victor is rumoured to go for $3 million.
13. Bugatti Bolide – $3 million
The Bugatti Bolide looks like something right out of Batman comics. It is unarguably the wildest-looking Bugatti car on the list and perhaps the most intimidating of them all. While it isn’t the most expensive Buggati on the list, the wild-looking Bolide is powered by Bugatti’s iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine, with a 1,479 horsepower. Despite being one of the richest cars on the planet, the Bugatti Bolide is a track-only car offered in limited production. So, if you are wealthy enough to splurge $3 million on a car and know a racing track where you can while out time, then the Bugatti Bolide is definitely for you.

12. Aston Martin Valkyrie – $3.2 million
The Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar may not have hit the market yet but it is already sold out despite having a staggering price tag of $3.2 million slapped on it. Although Aston Martin never officially released the pricing of the hypercar, estimates suggest the Valkyrie would sell between $2.6 – $3.9 million. Some claim Aston Martin actually sold the hypercar for $3.2 million. The Valkyrie’s Cosworth-sourced 6.5-litre V12 engine is said to produce 1,160 horsepower and a 664 foot pound of torque. Aston Martin will only produce 150 units of the hypercar while a limited 25-run AMR model will be arriving much later.
11. W Motors Lykan Hypersport – $3.4 million
Unveiled at the Qatar show in January 2013, the W Motors Lykan HyperSport benefits not only from a sublime carbon design but also from a mechanic signed RUF – the famous German specialist. The twin-turbocharged 3.7-litre six-cylinder engine underhood produces 780 horsepower which ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 395 km/h.
10. Pagani Huayra Roadster BC – $3.5 million
The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC was inevitable for anyone who knows Pagani and its playbook. The Italian car manufacturer first showed off the Huayra Roadster BC last year. The topless monster boasts 800 horsepower, more than its siblings by cranking up its AMG-sourced twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12. Pagani will be limiting the production of the ultra-rare Huayra Roadster BC to just 40 units and the $3.5 million price tag that comes with it is non-negotiable.
9. Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport – $3.6 million
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport would have been a show stopper at the Geneva Motor Show but it never happened. The Pur Sport is a special edition of the Chiron. Bugatti’s purpose for producing this special edition is to power distribution, weight reduction and aerodynamics, in order to make it a well-refined upgrade of the Chiron. The Chiron Pur Sport has the same 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine as the Chiron but a now mated recalibrated automatic gearbox—something that was not in the Chiron. While the peak output remains unchanged at 1,500 horsepower, the rpm redline has been set 200 rpm higher, up to 6,900 rpm. The Chiron debuted late 2020 with a starting price of $3.6 million.

8. Lamborghini Sian – $3.6 million
Inspired by the Aventador SVJ, the wild-looking Sian is the brand’s first production electrified offering. It is powered by the SVJ-sourced 6.5-litre V12 engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The Sian packs Lamborghini’s most powerful ever with a total system output of 819 horsepower. The 63 stuck on either side of the Sian confirms Lamborghini will produce just 63 units of the hypercar.
7. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ – $3.9 million
Bugatti got the attention of the automobile earlier in the year when it announced that it had broken the 300 miles per hour barrier with a modified version of the Chiron. The Super Sport 300+ is the road-going version of the modified Chiron—to celebrate the feat. Adorned with flowing slippery bodywork and a sweet stripe motif, the hypercar is limited to just 30 units. Despite carrying “300+”, Bugatti has announced that it would be limiting the top speed of each unit to 270 mph. The production will be starting this year.
6. Lamborghini Veneno – $4.5 million
The Lamborghini Veneno is equipped with a 6.5-litre V12 engine, producing 740 horsepower and a 509-foot pound of torque. The Veneno weighs 40kg lesser than the Lamborghini Roadster, which ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, for a top speed always 355 km/h. The Veneno debuted in 2013 and only five of the hypercar was produced—one for factory testing (dubbed car number zero), one retained for the factory, and three cars for customers.
5. Bugatti Divo – $5.8 million
Named after French racing driver, Albert Divo who raced for Bugatti, winning the Targa Florio twice, the Bugatti Divo is definitely staff favourite. A first glance would reveal it shares the same look as the Bugatti Chiron and rightly so, the Divo is a sibling of the popular Chiron but with better modifications. In difference, the Divo is 77 pounds lighter compared to the Chiron and has a carbon intercooler as well as lighter wheels. The power remains the same as that of the Chiron, 1,500 horsepower and has a different aerodynamic setup, making it 8 seconds quicker than the Chiron. The Divo first debuted in 2019 and Bugatti has made it know it will only produce just 40 units of the car.

4. Mercedes-Maybach Exelero – $8 million
The 2004 debutant Mercedes-Maybach Exelero is a “one-off” just like the others before it. Mercedes built the Exelero on the bones of a Maybach and gave it the same twin-turbo V12 engine producing 690 horsepower and 752-foot pound of torque. The Exelero’s top speed is listed as 350 kilometres per hour. If adjusted for inflation, the Exelero should cost nothing less than $8 million.
3. Bugatti Centodieci – $9 million
Bugatti debuted the Centodieci at last year’s Pebble Beach car week, showing off yet another ultra-rare, super-expensive model to the world. Limited to just 10—dieci—units, the car is a modern throwback to the Bugatti EB110. At the same time, it is meant to celebrate Bugatti’s momentous 110-year anniversary. Its unique styling cues won’t make everyone fall in love, but at least you won’t have to worry about seeing another one on the road. Carrying a price just shy of $9 million, the Centodiece is one of the most exclusive cars ever made.
2. Bugatti La Voiture Noire – $18.7 million
With a price tag of $18.7 million and a selling price of $18.7 million after taxes, the one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire is officially the most expensive new car ever. And understandably. A modern interpretation of Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic, the La Voiture Noire uses the same quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 engine as the Chiron, producing 1,479 horsepower and 1,600 Newton-meters (1,180 foot-pounds) of torque. It has six – that’s right, six exhaust tips, radical new wheels, an aggressive, bespoke fascia, and a gigantic light-up badge outback that spells out the name of the brand.

The new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is inspired by the $13 million Rolls-Royce Sweptail from 2017 but with interesting modifications that make the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail fair superior in complexity. It is set to be prized as the most expensive new car in history. Although, Rolls-Royce seem coy about its price but unofficial sources have claimed that American rapper, Jay Z may be behind the new Rolls-Royce limousine which will sell for $28 million after-tax.
The Boat Tail has a unique two-tone exterior, custom high-end finishes inside, and even a “hosting suite” complete with a champagne fridge and built-in sun umbrella.
While Rolls-Royce has not opened up on the price of the Boat Tail, words going round suggest it will sell for a staggering $28 million, making it the most expensive car in history.
