What Is Nigeria ZIP Code?

It is a post office code indicating the correct destination for delivering mails, parcels and packages. Local and international logistics companies like DHL, GIG Logistics, Azex, etc., will request the postal code of the designated state in Nigeria when you need delivery services.

What Is ZIP / ZIP Code?

ZIP is an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan. It is a system used by the United States Postal Service since 1963 for the same purpose as Postal Codes are used in other countries. This means that ZIP codes are only used in the United States while other countries refer to this pattern as Postal Codes.

However, note that the USPS (United States Postal Service) has codes for overseas countries, which are used when handling deliveries. These codes are equivalent to the ZIP codes used within the US. The code for Nigeria is 00176-0000.

Correct Postal or Zip Code Format in Nigeria
