Zubby Azubuike Michael Egwu (born 1 February 1985), otherwise known as Zubby Michael, is a 37 years old exciting Nigerian film actor and excellent movie producer.

Known for his role in Three WindowsRoyal Storm, and Professional Lady, he is especially recognized for portraying roles of a bad guy, criminal, villain, or hitman in most of the films he has appeared in.

Zubby Michael first appeared in a Nollywood movie titled Missing Rib in 2006 and has starred in over fifty Nollywood films.

He has won and still winning the heart of many and exhibiting signs of improvement in each film he appears.

Zubby Michael Early Life

Zubby Micheal was born with the full name Zubby Azubuike Michael Egwu to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Egwu on 1 February 1985 in Ekwusigo Local Area in Anambra State, South-east Nigeria.

However, he is a native of Ozobulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State but grew up in Adamawa, northeastern Nigeria.

The Nigerian revealed in an interview that he was brought up in a beautiful home with good parenting. His father was a successful businessman, while his mother was a teacher.

Zubby Michael also spoke about his experience growing up in the North during the interview. According to him, Northerners are lovable and notable people, especially those with open hearts.

He recalled one of his childhood experiences growing up when he drove his father’s car when he wasn’t around.

Zubby Michael said there was a particular day that he didn’t know his father had arrived home and when he found out, he accidentally (out of fear) smashed the car into another car in the compound.

That day, his father gave him the beating of his life. He passed out at some point and was revived with water.

Zubby Michael obtained his primary and secondary education in Yola, Adamawa state, in Nigeria, thereby getting his primary and secondary certificates.

Upon completing his secondary education, he secured admission to join the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University located in Awka, Anambra State of Nigeria. At the university, he studied courses for a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.

Zubby Michael started his acting career when he was only eight years old in Yola, the Adamawa state capital. Before he began starring in movies, he was involved in television soap operas and was featured in the cast of a 2006 drama titled Coded Hussle. This was the same year he officially joined Nollywood as a professional in 2006, hence acting in his first movie.

In an exclusive interview, the Nollywood actor revealed that his acting career started in Asaba, Delta state, where he met a producer who introduced him to the industry. It was this opportunistic meeting that led him to feature in his first movie titled Missing Rib. He further disclosed that it was a great experience working with stars such as Ramsey Nouah and Tonto Dikeh, among others.

However, Zubby Michael became popular in Nollywood when he acted in “The Three Windows,” “Professional Lady,” and “Royal Storm.” He portrayed the lead role in the Three Windows film, where he featured opposite Oge OkoyeJustus EsiriNgozi Ezeonu, among others.
