Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), once in the past Katsina State University, was set up by the Katsina State Government in 2006, to “fill in as a core for financial, mechanical and political improvement of the State by delivering profoundly talented human asset through traditional face to face and distance learning modes.” Umaru Musa Yar’adua, at that point the executive governor of Katsina State and later the leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, started crafted by making the college before his demise in 2010
