By accessing or using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site. These terms apply to every visitor, whether you read an article, run a calculator or submit data. They should be read alongside our privacy policy and our disclaimer, both of which form part of this agreement.
2. What the calculators are, and are not
The calculators on this site are information tools. They apply a stated formula to figures you enter and display the result. Every tool shows its method, its formula and a worked example precisely so you can verify the reasoning rather than take the output on trust.
They are not financial, legal, tax, investment, medical or academic advice, and using one does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and us. A calculator cannot know your circumstances, and it cannot account for the exception, waiver or institutional policy that applies to your particular case.
Rules change, sometimes without notice. Tax bands, VAT rates, grading scales, fee structures, interest rates and institutional policies are all subject to revision. We review our tools regularly and every page shows the month it was last reviewed, but we cannot guarantee that a given figure reflects the position at the moment you read it.
Before acting on any result, confirm it with the relevant institution, regulator or a qualified professional. Nothing on this site substitutes for that.
3. Reader submitted data
Our data section publishes figures reported by readers. This information is self reported and unverified. We review submissions for plausibility and reject ones that appear implausible or that contain identifying information, but we cannot and do not verify any individual figure.
It is not a valuation, an official statistic, an offer or a guarantee of what anything costs. Contributors are readers of this site and are not a representative sample of Nigeria. Local variation within a single city frequently exceeds the variation between states. Where a location has few entries, the figure describes those entries rather than a market.
If you submit data you confirm that the figure is one you have direct knowledge of, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you are not disclosing another person's confidential information without their consent. You grant us a non exclusive, royalty free, perpetual licence to publish the submission and to include it in aggregate figures. We may edit, decline or remove any submission at our discretion.
Do not submit anything identifying: names, contact details, employers linked to a salary, exact addresses, or anything defamatory or unlawful.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including articles, calculator logic, explanatory text, page design, graphics and the arrangement of it all, is owned by DailyTipsFinder or used with permission, and is protected by applicable copyright law.
You may read, print and use the site for your own personal and non commercial purposes. You may quote a short extract for comment, criticism, teaching or news reporting provided you attribute it to DailyTipsFinder and link to the page it came from.
You may not republish substantial portions of our content, copy our calculators or their explanatory text onto another site, sell or licence our material, present it as your own, or use automated tools to scrape the site at scale. For anything beyond fair quotation, write to us through the contact page. We are generally willing to say yes when asked.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable regulation.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its server or its database.
- Do not introduce viruses, malicious code or anything designed to interfere with the site's operation.
- Do not use automated systems to scrape, harvest or overload the site or its forms.
- Do not submit false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful information to any form on the site.
- Do not submit another person's private financial or personal information without their consent.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell or repackage the calculators as your own product.
We may restrict or block access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
6. Third party links and advertising
This site links to external websites and displays advertising. We do not control third party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, products or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement, and inclusion of an advertisement is not a recommendation.
Advertising is what keeps this site free. We do not accept payment to recommend a product, institution or service within our editorial content. Where any link is commercial, that will be disclosed where it appears. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, modify or discontinue any part of the site, including any calculator or dataset, without notice. We may also update these terms; the date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the change.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DailyTipsFinder, its owners and its contributors will not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it. This includes without limitation any financial loss, lost opportunity, academic consequence or business interruption arising from reliance on a calculator result, a data figure or an article.

9. Indemnity

10. Governing law and severability
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
